- Authors
Chazan, Rabbi Yosef
- Abstract
This account of the halachic tradition in Judaism continues from the completion of the Talmud, (including the incorporation within it of rulings of the Rabbanon Savorai, as this is explained in the Igeres of Rav Shrira Gaon). It starts with the Geonim and proceeds down to the Shulchan Aruch and its commentaries. This essay was written by its author as a schematic sketch or summary and does not provide comprehensive documentation of its sources. A glossary of terms has been added at the end of this essay.
