The article focuses on the initiatives of nonprofit organization charity: water to provide clean and safe drinking water in developing countries through campaigns in various social media including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. Topics include initiative of its founder/chief executive officer (CEO) Scott Harrison to donate funds to clean water projects by charging his friends $20 each during his 31st birthday party, the organization's birthdays which tackle water crisis in one specific developing country each year, and partnership between the organization and inbound marketing software firm HubSpot to improve engagement.
