To the Editor, Although relatively rare, immediate perioperative hypersensitivity reactions (POH) are important complications of drug administration prior to, during and after surgical and other interventional procedures. Anaphylaxis, drug allergy, drug hypersensitivity reaction, general anaesthesia, perioperative The proportion of sensitization was comparable to other studies for chlorhexidine (9.8%)3,5 and NRL (4.9%).8 In 39% and 21% of the referred patients, a drug hypersensitivity was definite or probable.
