- Abstract
The article discusses a grievance filed by the United Steelworkers Local 13292-01 against flavor and fragrance company Sensient Flavors Canada Inc., claiming violation of its collective agreement for discontinuing health and welfare benefits of eight retired employees. An overview of the positions of both parties through the interplay of contractual provisions is given. Particular focus is given to the decision of Ontario arbitrator Marilyn Nairn in favor of Sensient Flavors.
