- Abstract
The article focuses on educationist and storyteller Gijubhai Badheka. It states that Badheka was born in Gujarat, India in 1885 and died in 1939, authored more than 200 books on children's literature and education. His best-known work "Diwaswapna" is considered a classic work in pedagogy. Badheka used traditional folk and Saurashtra dialect in his tales involving ordinary people and animals. The article presents translation of several short stories by Gijubhai Bhadeka, including "The Barber and the Tiger," "The Cheeky Crow," and "Dala Tarawadi." The poem "The Point of a Thorn" by Bhadeka is also presented.
