- Title
„Toll. Ich bin froh dabei zu sein“" Studie zur Spende digitaler Körperdaten in der Corona-Krise.
- Abstract
The spread of the Covid-19 virus poses new challenges for health policy and research as well as for the population. During this period, public health interventions introduce new apps to help overcome the crises. One of these apps is the Corona-Data-Donation-App developed by the Robert-Koch-Institute (RKI). Thereby, on a voluntary basis, users can donate body data generated by privately used fitness trackers. A qualitative short study analyses the motives for and effects of the practices with this app. Informed by science and technology studies and concepts of new materialism the focus will be on the entanglements of the material (e.g. technologies, bodies) and discourses (e.g. epidemic discourse, moral judgments).
