The article presents a case study of an Erysipelas rhusiopathiae infection on twenty day old commercial piglets. It states that the piglets had shown red-black discoloration on the skin of its ears, hind legs, and feet, a diffuse subacute interstitial pneumonia that is consistent with septicemia. It notes that the Erysipelas rhusiopathiae was isolated from the lungs, spleen, and muscles. It also mentions that pigs are vulnerable from getting infected with Erysipelas rhusiopathiae.
