- Abstract
An essay is presented on linkage between language and colonization through the definition of political and personal borders exemplified in Uwe Timm's novel Morenga, which depicts the Nama rebellion in German Southwest Africa. The authors argues differences between the conquering and the conquered. he states failure of the German colonizer's inability to achieve intercultural understanding and its result in the creation of "new" pidgin languages.
