- Abstract
The article explores techniques and options for fabrication of zirconium oxide frameworks for implant restorations. The design of a definitive restoration procedure needs to follow basic restorative requirements including function, phonetics and esthetics. Innovations in dental materials and enhanced hardware and software aspects for computers offer a wider range of applications for computer-aided design (CAD)/computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) techniques in dentistry. The use of CAD/CAM systems for single-implant restorations removed several errors like incorrect abutment selection and poor support of soft tissues.
