- Abstract
The article presents a study on the biology and taxonomy of Arge simlaensis in rain fed conditions in Punjab, Pakistan. The researchers used hand net to collect adult specimens from the host plants, which were later killed using methyl acetate. They placed the shoots containing the eggs in a cage at room temperature, after which the larvae were fed daily on fresh rose leaves and absolute alcohol was used to preserve the larvae. They found that sufficient control can be obtained using dust formulations of insecticide while spraying insecticide to open blossoms is not recommended in order not to kill the pollinators.
