- Abstract
"Children's Cultures after Childhood" is a collection of twelve chapters and an afterword that explores key concepts from new materialist and posthumanist childhood studies. The chapters analyze children's interactions with various forms of media, including books, music, news programs, and artworks, from different countries. The collection challenges traditional notions of childhood and emphasizes the importance of considering childhood as a continuing experience throughout adulthood. The book also examines the concepts of assemblage and agency, highlighting the complex relationships between humans, materials, and other species. The authors employ innovative research methods, such as incorporating poetry and storytelling, to provide fresh perspectives on established topics in childhood studies.
