- Abstract
The article discusses the use of insurance claims data to assess the uptake of DAAs among HIV/HCV co-infected persons and compare patients receiving direct acting antiviral (DAAs) to those who not to identify potential barriers and enablers to DAA uptake. Insurance claims data from Amida Care, a not-for-profit Medicaid Special Needs Health Plan exclusively designed for persons living with HIV/AIDS in New York City were used for demographic, clinical and pharmacy information.
