- Abstract
The article discusses changes to the ownership and missions of the sailing ship Euterpe/Star of India from the late 19th century to about 1902. Topics discussed include changes to the registration of the ship due to the annexation of Hawaii by the United States and the cargo that the ship carried on missions between New Zealand, California and the U.S. state of Washington. Additionally, the author makes mention of the sale of ship to the Alaska Packers Association and presents an image of a painting of the Star of India by Raymond Massey.
