Abstract
The article profiles several authors. No Violet Bulawayo, pen name of Elizabeth Zandile Tshele, serves as the first Zimbabwean writer to be shortlisted for the Booker prize. Dr. H. Nigel Thomas pursues his writing career by publishing novels, short fiction and poetry after teaching American Literature at Quebec's Laval University in 1996. Cyril Dabydeen writes fifteen books, including "My Multi-Ethnic Friends and Other Stories" and "Drums of My Flesh."
