- Abstract
The specialty examination could indeed fulfil the knowledge part of this but at this time, there is no robust process to demonstrate that training has taken place, and that competencies have been achieved across the depth and breadth of the curriculum in the dental specialties. In conclusion, there is an urgent need to educate the public regarding the beneficial effects of fluoridated toothpastes, as well as robustly reviewing the fluoride-free products to ascertain their effects on prevention of dental caries. Fluoride toothpastes of different concentrations for preventing dental caries in children and adolescents.
