- Abstract
The article presents a study on on the high arsenic concentration in rice which is believed to be dangerous to human health. Such problem is said to be due to the groundwater arsenic contamination. It states that the environmental dispersion of arsenic is due to its industrial use and extensive application in plant spays. Previous studies show that ingestion or inhalation of arsenic can cause skin and lung cancer. Efforts to minimize the arsenic content in rice are also discussed.
