ECUK reports rise in 2009 Chartership application.
- Abstract
The article reports on the 18 percent increase in the number of inquiries received by Engineering Council UK in the first quarter of 2009 about qualifying for professional and engineering status. According to the 2009 National Management Salary Survey conducted by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), more engineering employers are choosing to redeploy their staff. CMI Chief Economist John Eatwell believes that business is growing and that employers are determined to retain skilled staff and recognize the cost effectiveness of retaining competence.
