- Title
New greenhouse gases on the rise.
- Abstract
The article discusses research by the Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Research Organization (CSIRO) and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography which found that greenhouse gases sulphuryl fluoride and nitrogen trifluoride are accumulating in the atmosphere. It has been estimated by CSIRO's Paul Fraser and colleagues that about 30% of sulphuryl is destroyed during its use, with the rest emitted to the atmosphere. Meanwhile, the Scripps team discovered an average annual increase of 11% for nitrogen trifluoride.
