An editorial is presented on safe and healthy working conditions being important social determinants of health needed to be addressed in the Caribbean with urgency. Topics include occupational injuries and illnesses not only impacting on population health and well-being but also adversely affecting productivity and economies; and cancers and other chronic diseases due to occupational exposures can being prevented by eliminating or reducing exposure at work.
