An essay is presented on the artist Mariko Mori and her art. It discusses her photographic works which explore the role of women in late 20th-century Japanese society. Information about the role of women and their sexuality within that society is presented and the social and economic factors which influence that role are examined. Mori's work as feminist art is discussed and comments from various critics of her work are included.
