- Abstract
Objective: To probe the curative effect of acupuncture and moxibustion on gastrointestinal function after gynecological benign tumor surgery. Methods: The research selected 90 cases of patients after gynecological benign tumor surgery. The patients should randomly divide into acupuncture and moxibustion group, enhanced rehabilitation group and routine group with 30 cases in each group. It should record the first exhaust time and defecation time after operation in patients of three groups. Results: Comparison of the first exhaust time and defecation time after operation between patients in three groups indicated that the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). The first exhaust time and defecation time after operation of patients in the acupuncture and moxibustion group and enhanced rehabilitation group were shorter than that of routine group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Comparison of the first exhaust time after operation between patients in the acupuncture and moxibustion group and enhanced rehabilitation group indicated that the difference was not statistically significant (P > 0.05). The first defecation time after operation of patients in the enhanced rehabilitation group was shorter than that of acupuncture and moxibustion group, and comparison result indicated that the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). There were no occurrence of side effects as hematoma and intolerable pain during manipulation progress in the acupuncture and moxibustion group. There was no occurrence of intestinal obstruction in patients of three groups. Conclusions: The acupuncture and moxibustion treatment has effect to promote rehabilitation of gastrointestinal function after gynecological benign tumor surgery. Moreover, the occurrence rate of side effect is low. It should take further research on this therapy.
