- Abstract
The article focuses on online publishing of booking photographs also known as mug shots by digital publishers on the websites such as Mugshots.com. Topics include reference to character Hester Prynne in the book "The Scarlet Letter" by Nathaniel Hawthorne, who was made to stand bearing a red "A" on dress as a symbol that she was found guilty of adultery, legal methods of responding to online mug shot publishers, and implementation of laws to regulate the mug shot publication.
