- Abstract
Social benefits are strategies used by organizations to improve the relationship between employers and their employees, which are reflected in motivation, sense of belonging and increased organizational productivity. Therefore, analyzing the social benefits implemented by SMEs hotels in Villavicencio (Colombia), serves to improve human management processes in these organizations. Based on a descriptive type of research, the characteristics of the social benefits offered by the hotels to their employees were examined, obtaining relevant information about the types, approaches and frequency of payment and their influence on job satisfaction. It is evident that the implementation of social benefits in these companies affects positively, but not enough to motivate, by only granting a small percentage of these aids to their employees, beyond what is required by Colombian law. This is why it is necessary to offer social support focused on different approaches to those normally used, such as: health, education and economic, in order to motivate the employee within the organization, stimulating them to carry out their functions and thus improve their work performance.
