- Abstract
The author offers a perspective on the foundations of basic human needs of Millennials considering psychologist Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs. She cites realities and burden facing Millennials in Western society and discusses the personal experience of Millennials with liberation. She addresses trends in popular culture that increase individual liberation such as self-improvement tips on the Internet, as well as the stereotyping of millennials as self-absorbed narcissists.
