- Abstract
The article discusses a study which described the isolation and eradication of Helicobacter pylori showing resistance to clarithromycin, metronidazole, fluoroquinolones and rifampicin/rifabutin, and reduced susceptibility to tetracycline in Germany. The study identified H. pylori twice from a middle-aged male patient with functional dyspepsia. Details of the treatment administered to the patient are provided. The study suggested that multiresistant clinical H. pylori isolates exist in Germany and will be detected increasingly in the future.
