- Abstract
The mixture of lightly burned MgO and MgSO4 was prepared by roasting magnesite tailings and industrial waste acid leaching respectively. Then, the mixture of lightly burned MgO and MgSO4 was used to prepare magnesite oxysulfate cement. The results show that under the best conditions (900 ℃,calcination time 2 h), magnesium oxide activity could reach 61.94%. Under the best conditions (acid/mine 1:2.2, acid concentration 20%,acid leaching 48 h), magnesium sulfate content can reach 17.1%, the molar ratio is 9 and the modifier content is 2%, the flexural strength and compressive strength of the sample can reach 10.57 MPa and 47.71 MPa, respectively, and the softening coefficient is 0.94 after curing for 28 d.
