- Abstract
Deformation and damage are two different types of indicators to evaluate the influence on structure. In the shield crossing engineering, the indicators of deformation protection mainly including the following three factors: uplift and subsidence, differential settlement and radius of curvature were adopted in almost all the tunnel protection standards. Therefore, the study on the relationship and compliance between these two indicators has great practical significance for the reasonable judgment of tunnel protection indicators. Taking the typical interval bid section tunnel of Xuzhou Metro Line 1 as an example, the structural deformation and damage indicators were analyzed based on the influence of different crossing types of the new tunnel on the existing tunnel. The results show that the absolute terms of uplift and subsidence is not directly related to the damage factor, while the tunnel curvature and torus relative torsion have a great influence on the development of that. When the curvature accords with standards, leakage of metro tunnel during operation may still be caused by the development of arch bottom damage factor. It is concluded that damage indicators need consideration when evaluating shield tunnel during operation.
