- Abstract
The article explains that the lines 671-673 spoken by Philoctetes in the play "Philoctetes" by Sophocles were delivered instead by Neoptolemus, which contradicts the analysis of Greek drama author Arlene Allan. While a horizontal mark was used to divide speaker designations between paragraphs, some word connectors within the lines were omitted during translation from Greek to English. The author suggests that a paragraph be inserted in line 671 for full understanding of speaker ownership.
