- Title
Lack of realism blamed for failed anthrax vaccine.
- Abstract
The article focuses on a report released by the U.S. Government Accountability Office on October 23, 2007 regarding the failed anthrax vaccine. It relates that the report blames unrealistic expectations on the failure of a small biotechnology company VaxGen Inc. to deliver anthrax vaccine for civilian use. Moreover, the report concludes that the Department of Health and Human Services failed to address certain issue in the manufacture of the vaccine before awarding the contract to Vaxgen thereby pre-empting works on the vaccine.
