- Title
Decorated Lies: A Conversation with Lewis Nordan.
- Authors
Jones, Katherine J.; Jones, Jeremy L. C.
- Abstract
The article presents a conversation with writer Lewis Nordon. According to Nordon, writing is like a lie that is decorated with details of real life. It is revealed that Nordon has not written much since his memoir 'Boy With Loaded Gun' and has rather indulged into teaching. Nordon has written many short stories and novels during his career as a writer. According to Nordon, importance of a writing workshop revolves around the conversation, analyzing one's work. He insists that being prescriptive of a student's work is inevitable during workshops and recommends imitation exercises for students.
