- Abstract
This study aims at clarifying confusion and ambiguity provisions in light of the Jordanian legislation. Confusion and ambiguity leads one trader to engage in unfair competition that in turn causes damage to the facilities, services and goods of other traders. Based on general rules, the Jordanian and Egyptian legislators define unfair trade as any harmful act that harms traders, on the one hand, and consumers, on the other. Unfair competition has a crucial impact on countries in terms of trade, economy and movement of goods and may lead courts to swarm with cases of this kind. Both the Jordanian and Egyptian laws did not tackle such provisions within the law of unfair competition as they appear in various manifestations and are used by traders to harm each other.
