- Abstract
The article offers information on the hypothesis that the spatial variability of hydrology may decrease with an increase in catchments area as effect of mixing of several small-scale hydrological conditions. It states that the hypothesis has been tested mainly through numerical simulations which involve simple mixing. Moreover, the study emphasizes the need in considering the heterogeneous nature of small-scale hydrology and the landscape structure.
