- Abstract
The Information Center is a newly established clearing house for information on media which addresses social issues. The Center, a project of the Center for the Study of Filmed History, Inc., is a nonprofit, tax-exempt co-oporation, partially supported by funds for the National Endowment for the Arts. The Film Fund, Inc. is a national organization supporting the production and use of films, slide shows, and videotapes as creative and educational instruments for social change. It serves as a clearing house and provides limited financial assistance for media projects on contemporary issues like economic democracy, nuclear policy, disarmament, racial and sexual justice, workplace health and safety, and environmental abuse. ICARUS Films has established a new labor film library stocked with films and slide shows on organizing, working conditions, safety, workers' education, labor history, agri-business and labor, and the Civil Rights Movement. Contact information for further enquiry on the above mentioned entities is given in the article.
