- Title
Structure and Location of Accessory Muscular Atrioventricular Connections.
- Authors
Anderson, Robert H.; Ho, Siew Yen
- Abstract
The article focuses on the structure and location of accessory muscular atrioventricular connections. Conventional wisdom initially held that the muscular pathways traversed gaps in the fibrous plates that are still believed by many to give rise to the leaflets of the tricuspid and mitral valves. Those who initially discovered the muscular connections producing Wolff- Parkinson-White syndrome clearly described their location on the epicardial aspect of the hinge of either the tricuspid or the mitral valve.
