- Abstract
A presentation of two newly discovered documents related to Spinoza's biography: one from the Portuguese-Jewish archives in the Stadsarchief Amsterdam, and another from the archives of the Lisbon Inquisition. The former concerns his name (crossed out) on a 1654 list of individuals expected to pay a surcharge on goods; the latter concerns a description from 1630 of his father and the birthplace of his stepmother.
