The author focuses on the implications of activism arisen through the occupy movement, student protest in Quebec and the Idle No More Movement on social work. He mentions that the movements mobilized groups of people across Quebec. He states that the occupy movement focused on inequality in societies and the Quebec student movement marked students' reaction on increased tuition fees. He reports that the activism offers a space for social work and address social inequality and social justice.
