- Abstract
The article focuses on a study that investigates increase in the extra cellular adenosine level by the inhibitors of extra cellular adenosine level and also reflects on the removal of calcium 2+ in rat spinal astrocytes. It states that adenosine (ADO) that is derived from astrocytes play an important role as a neuromodulater in the central nervous system. The study reveals that equilibrative nucleoside transporter 2 (ENT2) is responsible for the release of ADO.
