- Title
Biochemical analyses of proinsulin C-peptide-binding protein and its binding properties.
- Authors

- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examines the molecular mechanism of cell membrane interaction of C-peptide to identify the membrane proteins that binds C-peptide. The study involves the use of human promyelocytic leukemia (HL-60) cell line, wherein the candidate proteins were isolated by co-immunoprecipitation with anti-C-peptide antibody. It concludes that C-peptide regulates alpha-enolase activity by interaction between K434 of the enzyme and E27 of the peptide.
