- Abstract
The biomasses, the minéralomasses, the litterfall and the restitution on the soil of bioelements by their intermediaries are studied for two sites Quercus ilex of the Middle Atlas Moroccans (Tafachna and Reggada). The best correlations and results were found with allometric regressions of type: Y(biomass) = aX [X = (D²H)b], D and H are respectively the diameter at 1.30 m and high. The dry total biomass of the épigée part of the two studied settlements is of 96 and 86.4 t.ha-1 respectively for Tafachna and Reggada of which the woody part accounts for approximately 89 %. The air minéralomasses of the five major elements (N, P, K, Ca and Mg) is of 912 kg.ha-1 for Tafachna and 812 kg.ha-1 for Reggada. Annually, 10.8 and 8.5 kg.ha-1 of bioelements are immobilized in the air biomass respectively for Tafachna and Reggada. The litterfall, observed during three consecutive years, range between 3.1 and 3.6 t.ha-1.yr-1 of which almost 70 % consist of leaves. The restitution on the soil of the nutritive elements via the litter is of 37.9 and 44.4 kg.ha-1.yr-1 respectively for Tafachna and Reggada (approximately 74 % via the leafs). The decomposition of the leaves litter follows a negative exponential equation of form RF = A + Bexp(- Ct). After two years of decomposition of the leaves installed in litter-bags, the release of the nutritive elements varied between 22 % for calcium and more than 80 % for potassium.
