- Title
No Magic: Just Software that Works.
- Authors
Bell, Joseph R.; Winn, Joan
- Abstract
The article outlines the development of the computer software consulting company No Magic. Started in the dot com boom of the 1990s, No Magic took advantage of a globalizing economy by opening factories in Lithuania and Thailand. Setting up an American corporate work ethic in countries with developing economies proved difficult. The economic downturn in 2001 hurt the company's growth. No Magic was further affected by the divorce of its co-founders, Victoria Girdziunas and Paul Duncanson. The article examines steps taken by the company to market their products more effectively.
