- Abstract
The article presents information on the insider trading regulations in Taiwan. Purchase or sale of securities of a public company in an exchange or over-the-counter (OTC) market is defined as insider trading in the statute of Taiwan, and ban on this applies to three categories of persons which include insiders, constructive insiders, and tipees. Information on several controversies is presented including controversies on scienter, materiality, and intent.
