- Abstract
This article discusses the case of a 6-year-old girl with inflammatory linear verrucous epidermal naevus (ILVEN), a rare skin disorder characterized by pruritic erythematous hyperkeratotic papules. The patient was found to have a somatic mutation in the CARD14 gene and was successfully treated with secukinumab. ILVEN is a heterogeneous group of Blaschko-linear inflammatory conditions, and genetic analysis is important for accurate diagnosis. The article also provides a table summarizing other diseases with genetic mutations that can manifest as ILVEN. The study was supported by the Beijing Natural Science Foundation.
