PRESENÇA DE OVO DE DIOCTOPHYMA RENALE EM URINA DE FELINO.

- Abstract
Dioctophyma renale é um parasita nematóide zoonótico dos rins, que causa destruição do tecido renal e provoca sinais relacionados a esta destruição, como disúria e hematúria. A imagem acima trata-se de uma fotomicrografia de urina proveniente de um felino macho, SRD, resgatado e castrado, de 1 ano de idade, tendo sido reportado quadros de polaciúria e disúria nos 3 dias antecedentes a chegada a clínica. Exames laboratoriais e ultrassonografia foram realizados, onde notou-se halo hiperecogênico com centro hipoecogênico paralelo à divisão corticomedular do rim esquerdo, morfologicamente compatível com Dioctophyma renale. A urina foi coletada por meio de cistocentese e realizado a centrifugação para análise de sedimento. Posteriormente foi realizada fotomicrografia com objetivo de relatar a presença de ovo de Dioctophyma renale. Adicionalmente, foram encontrados cristais de fosfato triplo, associada a bacteriúria, células renais e cilindros granulosos, sugerindo um quadro inflamatório e lesão tubular renal. Concomitantemente, foi efetuado exame de ultrassonografia, corroborando com o resultado encontrado em urinálise, apresentando ovo em formato elíptico, com variação de cor de transparente a amarelo, casca fina e opérculos alinhados. Por fim, de acordo com os achados ultrassonográficos e microscópicos dos exames solicitados, confirma-se o diagnóstico de Dioctophyma renale. O caso relatado ilustra a importância de uma análise clínica e complementar bem-feita, utilizando-se de técnicas de urinálise (sedimentoscopia) e imagem (ultrassonografia) para conclusão assertiva e final do quadro exposto, frente a um problema de trato urinário.
