- Abstract
That was over 20 years ago, but my perusal of the syllabi for economic anthropology on the Society for Economic Anthropology (SEA) site suggests that while some new names may be on syllabi from the last 10 years, the representation of those from nonwhite, non-European backgrounds remains slim to none. I read the prompt for this symposium in a literal sense: a request to outline what economic anthropology can I do i when it comes to advocating for economic justice and advancing just economic forms. The SEA curriculum site contains a relatively new resource on decolonizing syllabi, which is a productive step forward. Amplify, decolonize, collaborate, question: Action items for promoting just and antiracist economies: QUESTION: How can economic anthropology promote the construction of just and anti-racist economic forms?.
