- Abstract
The article offers information on the first records documented for Mediterranean slimehead, hoplostethus mediterraneus in Adriatic Sea on April 2010. It says that the slimehead commonly occurs in the northeastern Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Indian oceans at depths of 100 and 1175 meters (m). It says that the slimehead may have arrived through active migration and the effect of Adriatic ingressions and oceanographic changes in Adriatic Sea.
