- Abstract
An essay is presented on troubadour songs or folk songs in unbound manuscripts of medieval lyric poets or trouvère codices. Topics mentioned include the compilation in Italy of the manuscripts and three were ruled for music which are in Italian, Occitanian, and Catalan, the most recorder songs in the medieval period and today are from the poets Jaufre Rudel, Bernart de Ventadorn, and Daude de Pradas, and the circulation both in performance and codices of the recorded living tradition.
