- Title
Comparative ecogenotoxicology: Monitoring the DNA of wildlife.
- Authors
ANGELETTI, Dario; CARERE, Claudio
- Abstract
The authors reflect on the impact of physical and chemicals contaminants on the integrity and functionality of the DNA in many animal species. They emphasize the main goals of ecogenotoxicology studies to explore the impact of xenobiotics on wild populations and to provide the early signals of contamination. They indicate the significant role of ecogenotoxicological research in the whole scenario of the effects of anthropogenic xenobiotics on biota.
