- Title
Bricks without Straw: The Sorry State of American Legal Education.
- Authors
Rounds, Charles
- Abstract
The article offers the author's insights on the perceived poor quality of the lawyer education in the U.S. The author says that law schools focus too much in teaching students to think like lawyers without sufficiently teaching them with practical skills of lawyering. He mentions the marginal utility of legal writing and thinking mechanics and tells that several law graduates lack the knowledge and experience of lawyering. He adds that veteran law practitioners should also teach law.
