- Abstract
Objective: To demonstrate the social impact of the Zika virus in black populations. Methods: Descriptive study with mothers of children born from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016 with data obtained from medical records and questionnaire applied. Results: Regarding the mother, the results showed a variation in age between 14 and 37 years, most were single and more than 80% declared themselves black. Conclusion: The population most affected by this fatality are the same populations affected by other vulnerabilities, reinforcing the historically marked and uneven pattern.
