Title
Link between primary open-angle glaucoma and mortality unclear.
Abstract
This article reports on the uncertain relationship between primary open-angle glaucoma and patient mortality, according to physician Louis R. Pasquale. He says primary open-angle glaucoma is a form of neurodegeneration that is poorly understood. He points outs that his study of primary open-angle glaucoma cases failed to support an association between the disease and all-cause or cardiovascular mortality. He also cites the limitations of his study.
